Cropped Tee [墨/Sumi]

この一枚の出発点は、一つのボディでした。ライフスタイルブランド「For DiL」が、着心地と質にこだわり、日本で、女性のためにつくったクロップド。その確かなつくりを土台に、RINAが企画したのが、この一枚です。彼女にとって、Allenwoodで初めてのプロジェクト。

一般的なクロップドTには、腕を上げると下着が見えてしまったり、体のラインを強調しすぎたり、という"惜しさ"がつきもの。このボディは、そこが一つずつ解かれています。腕を上げても裾が上がりすぎないよう、袖のわたりは広めに。後ろ身頃は肩甲骨に沿った自然な仕立てに、前身頃は女性らしい曲線を美しく見せる仕立てで。

その一つひとつの根っこにあるのは、"心地よさ"。永く心地よく着られること、袖を通すたびに、また着たいと思えること。For DiLがものづくりで大切にしてきたことが、生地にも縫製にも宿っています。日本の生地を、日本で。そしてその品の高さが、Allenwoodが一枚に求める基準とまっすぐ重なった——だから、この一枚を選びました。クオリティは、間違いありません。

そこにCreative Director daichiが、グラフィック、色、サイズ、プリントの位置を重ねました。色の名前も、日本語で。"灰桜（はいざくら）"は、この生地のためにあるような言葉でした。一見グレーなのに、よく見るとほんのり桜色が顔を覗かせる——英語では言い表せなかったその色を、日本語の"灰桜"が見事に掬い取ってくれた。その淡い桜を引き立てるために、プリントはあえて同系色のルージュを。墨には、檸檬色。マスタードでもイエローでもなく、レモン。地中海でパエリアにきゅっと搾る、あの一滴のイメージです。夏らしく、品があって、何より、香りまで思い浮かぶ。

This piece started with the body itself — a women's cropped cut, made in Japan with real care for comfort and quality. The body is from ForDiL, a lifestyle brand whose comfort-first approach to making carries right down to a single tee. Building on that, it was planned by RINA — her first project with Allenwood.

Most cropped tees come with small frustrations — they ride up when you raise your arms, they draw more attention to the chest than you'd like. This body resolves each of those: extra room through the sleeve so it won't ride up, a back cut to follow the shoulder blades, and a front shaped to flatter a woman's lines.

Underneath all of it is comfort — a piece that stays comfortable for years, one you reach for again every time you wear it. That care is something ForDiL has always built into its work, and it lives in both the fabric and the sewing. Japanese fabric, sewn in Japan. That level of quality is exactly what Allenwood looks for — which is why we chose this body. The quality speaks for itself.

Creative Director daichi then layered on the graphic, the colors, the fit, and the placement. The color names are Japanese on purpose. "Haizakura" was the perfect word for this fabric — it reads as gray, but look closely and a faint cherry-blossom pink peeks through. English never quite caught that color; the Japanese "haizakura" did, exactly. To lift that hidden blossom, the print is rouge — a tone-on-tone choice, so the two bring each other out. On Sumi (ink), it's lemon — not mustard, not yellow, lemon: the squeeze you'd give a paella on the Mediterranean. Summery, refined, and somehow you can almost smell it.
