Long Island Tee

今季の夏としてイメージしたのは、地中海や西海岸の景色。横ノリのカルチャーが香る、あの空気でした。——けれど実は、一度も訪れたことのない場所です。

だから特定の"元ネタ"をなぞるのではなく、憧れの空気だけを掬うように、プリントはあえてかすれさせ、全体をビーチィな質感に仕上げています。

そして最後に忍ばせたのが "LONG ISLAND, NY"。西海岸オマージュなのに、NY。しかも"アイランド"と名乗りつつ、実際はマンハッタンへ通う人たちが帰ってくる、椰子の木一本ない静かなベッドタウンです（東京でいう、新宿に通う人が暮らす三鷹のような場所、と言えば伝わるでしょうか）。

見たことのない場所への憧れも、自分が育った地元への愛も、どちらも本物。その両方をそのまま纏える一枚として、これをつくりました。

The summer behind it lived mostly in the imagination — that easygoing surf-culture feeling, from places it only ever visited in its head. So rather than copy any single reference, we tried to bottle just that mood: a deliberately faded print and an all-over beachy texture.

Then, almost as a wink, "LONG ISLAND, NY." A West Coast homage… that says New York. It calls itself an "island," but it's really a quiet commuter town — where people who work in Manhattan come home at night. Not a palm tree in sight.

Longing for a place you've never been, and loving the hometown you're actually from — neither one cancels out the other. This tee was made to wear both at once.
